SKOROMAN's STORY

Prologue

We had lived with War too long in our history. We don’t know how or why it started. We were killing each other and destroying everything we met. We lived in chaos. Today we live in peace and social order. We call this civilised period ‘Post-War’.

We actually do not know what happened before The War. Today we enjoy prosperity for all. We have occupied many solar systems and planets – seven Quadrants so far and the first section of the eighth. We value progress, science and organisation. Because of our rapid development we have an ever-growing population and we need more space. We are still able to find new places to live. There is nobody in the Universe apart from us. There is only one question on our minds…what was our past before The War? Who were we? What did our world look like? Who were our ancestors?

Prophecy

Our prophets tell us that we will discover something important from our past which will reveal the Big Secret. We do not know what it will be – what kind of subject or what kind of secret. We all hope it will explain our past before The War.

Presence

We were continuing work on the planets in 0S8, part of Quadrant 8. Suddenly, fifty strange machines arrived – robots without living operators. With no warning they began smashing our ships and buildings and flattening the surface. This happened very quickly. We were shocked and angry – immediately, we protected ourselves by destroying these enemy machines.

Then living creatures arrived and attacked us. They had threatened us with ruin and we responded with battle…. The Battle Of The Universe.
